Candidate for Scholarship

My name is Jennifer Lasky and I just turned 18. I used to live in Buffalo
New York but I moved to Lima Ohio with my boyfriend last August when I was
17. The reason for this drastic move was my parents were doing things that i
didn’t aprove of. Also the town knew one profession: drug dealing and that
was not a profession I agreed with. So when I had the opportunity to leave I
did and it was the best choice I could have ever made. I moved to Lima with
my boyfriend because he received a scholorship from The University of North
Western Ohio for auto repair and high performance. It was very hard being on
my own at first because being 17, I could not get into a regualr school.
This really upset me and it almost made me go back home because school has
always been a number one priority. Fortunatley I did get into a school. It
was a miracle! I do all my work at home and go into the school for tests.
This curriculum is not one which I preferred but I was still able to learn
which is great!
I have always been proud of my acedemic accomplishments, from winning
spelling bees to winning a presidents award from being on the honor roll to
today being told that I am at the top of my class. Those accomplishments are
now in the past and I would like to add acedemic accomplishments to my life.
My goals include, getting a 4.0 gpa at the end of this year, graduating
college at the top and learning everything that I possibley can, I want to
read about everything, every medical disease, illness, cancers, infedtions,
anything and I want to figure out cures and helpful ways to make those
people feel comfortable. my biggest goal is I want to be the most pretigious
nurse in today’s world and i want to know that I helped someone everyday of
my life. I also want to own a very nice house with a library filled with
medical books, amazing literature, and books that will make my mind wander.
In general I want to accel accedemically, become a prestigious nurse, be an
overal nice and amazing person and wife, I want to have kids that have a mom
that they look up to, I want to show sick people how beautiful the world is
even in the hospital(believe me i know how to, my boyfriend has been
admitted to the university hospital countless times)
I believe that I am a good canidate for this scholorship because I want tp
exceed from regular nursing studies and go above and beyond and learn
everything that I can possibly know. I would’nt waste the scholorship and I
would become an amazing nurse with this scholorship. This scholorship would
help me with my goals. I want to help everyone in everyway that i can. I
believe that I deserve this scholorship I left a bad city to be happy and to
accel somewhere where it is actually possible, i setled for a senior year of
high school that was not normal and now I don’t want to just settle for
anything, these are my specific goals and I’m going to reach them and with
the scholorship there is no doubt that I won’t
